PHILIP WADE

President, Morris Wade Associates, Inc.

Mr. Wade has more than 28 years of project/construction management experience, both nationally and overseas, helping clients maximize value in building design and construction by optimizing the balance between cost, time, and quality.

Prior to establishing Morris Wade in 2004, Mr. Wade spent 24 years at Hanscomb Associates (now Hanscomb Faithful & Gould) in a variety of key management positions. He opened and managed the Cambridge, Mass., office in 1983 before transferring to Chicago in 1996 to oversee the company’s entire Midwest Region as Executive Vice President. In 1996, Mr. Wade was elected to Hanscomb’s Board of Directors, serving first as Assistant Treasurer and then as company Treasurer.

His areas of expertise include project management, cost control, and CPM scheduling. Hands-on responsibilities have included oversight of major projects, contract administration, and preparation of detailed estimates and quantity surveys for public and private companies in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

Mr. Wade has both written and lectured for the design and construction industry, specializing in cost and schedule control. His work has been presented to the American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Reading in England, earning a Bachelor’s in Science, with honors, in Quantity Surveying.
